Employees from Vision Bank Texas had a fun time at Arapaho Classical Magnet judging inventions that the elementary children designed. Inventions included a homemade lava lamp, a bicycle tire trash can holder, flying boat, a repurposed K cup for a grow kit garden, and many more. Congratulations to Vision Bank Texas employee Cynthia Jackson who just graduated from two prestigious organizations. Inside RISD, a community leadership program designed to get an inside look at the inner workings of the Richardson Independent School District. Leadership Richardson class of XXIX, which is a community leadership development program created by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. Class members also elected her as the class representative to serve on the leadership board.

Vision Bank Texas had an "Pet Angel" Tree this year for donations for furry friends at Take Me Home Pet Rescue, and some furry friends will be very happy to have a new Kitty Tower to play on and some warm beds along with extra food and treats. Thank you to everyone who helped!

Vision Bank Texas employees held a shoe drive to benefit a local nonprofit - Network of Community Ministries. 'Gathering Soles for Network' is a community outreach collecting new and gently used shoes for toddlers through adult sizes to commemorate John F. Kennedy's commitment to service. VBT employees support the RISD Spirit Run on November 9th at Galatyn Park. Jessica Myrick, Diana Castillo, and Elissa Barbosa had a fun workout by running in the annual Loudest & Proudest 5k on earth. Cindi Jackson, our Marketing Director, got up bright and early to help, as Vision Bank Texas is a proud sponsor of this event. The Spirit Run benefits the Students, Teachers & EIE Foundation of RISD. The event has entertainment every stop of the way, cheer squads, drum lines, and Jazz Bands from the four RISD high schools throughout the route to cheer participants to the finish.
On August 14th, Vision Bank-Texas was proud to sponsor a table for the 55th Annual Richardson ISD New Teacher Luncheon hosted by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. This event honored the 400 new teachers entering RISD for the 2013-2014 school year and featured former state senator Florence Shapiro as the keynote speaker.
Two lucky new teachers each received a Vision Bank-Texas lunch cooler filled with teaching supplies and a $100 gift card as a part of the door prize giveaway; a great way to start their year!
